The Junior League of Lake Charles, Inc., is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.  Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.

Founded in 1933, the Junior League of Lake Charles, Inc. is one of 294 Junior Leagues in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the United Kingdom, which are part of the Association of Junior Leagues International, totaling approximately 170,000 women.  The Junior League of Lake Charles, Inc. has approximately 500 members.

The Junior League of Lake Charles, Inc., is an organization with a vision of working toward a common goal while preserving our flexibility and providing training opportunities.  Our efforts are focused on serving the community by strengthening and enriching families. 

During the last five years, our volunteers performed over 120,000 hours of community service, and the League funded over $600,000 in community projects and volunteer training.
