Thank you for your interest in the Junior League of Lake Charles. Each year, the Junior League of Lake Charles trains a class of first-year members (Provisional members) to be effective volunteers and leaders in our community.

Provisional Members complete a training series that allows them to learn about our League structure and the role we play in the community.

The training process consists of a series of events that include the following:

• Welcome Reception
• Summer Retreat
• General Meetings
• Provisional Meetings
• Participation in Provisional Project
• Fund Development Shifts
• Cross Committee Experience

Our organization invites those whose hearts for service, passion for uplifting women, and one-of-a-kind talents align with our mission.

Applicants must complete the application in its entirety. All Provisional candidates are required to have a sponsor, who must be an Active, or Sustaining member in good standing of the Junior League of Lake Charles.

Sponsors cannot be a relative by blood or affinity, defined as daughter, granddaughter, daughter-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, first cousin, niece, or aunt (including by marriage). Your sponsor must submit a letter of recommendation on your behalf.

Once your application is submitted, the Membership Council will review each application. If selected, you will receive an official invitation to membership via email by Tuesday, March 10, 2026.

Please note that, due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to provide individual correspondence or explanations to those not selected.
