JUNIOR LEAGUE OF LAKE CHARLES, INC. REQUESTS NOMINATIONS

FOR DELLA KRAUSE THIELEN VOLUNTARISM AWARD

The Junior League of Lake Charles, Inc., is now accepting nominations for the 2023 Della Krause Thielen Voluntarism Award. Since 1994, the Della Krause Thielen Voluntarism Award has been given to honor an individual’s or organization’s exceptional and sustained contributions through voluntarism. This award, established by Della K. Thielen’s family and administered through the Junior League of Lake Charles, Inc., embodies Mrs. Thielen’s own outstanding commitment to voluntarism.

Nomination forms are available.  Click here to access the form these will be accepted through  April  8, 2023.  This community award honors an individual, group or organization that has made an exceptional and sustained contribution to the community, thereby achieving impact through excellence in one or all of the following:  a variety of community service, outstanding leadership, effectiveness of community service, tenure of community service and perseverance in accomplishing an outstanding project. Nominations are accepted from the five-parish region of Southwest Louisiana.

The recipient will be recognized at the Junior League’s annual meeting, TBD, at which time a donation will be made in the recipient’s name to a non-profit organization of his or her choice. Any questions may be directed to Jennifer Pugh, Community Director, community_director@jllc.net.
