Donate to the Live Oak Society

Since 1933, the Junior League of Lake Charles, Inc. (JLLC) has been promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community of Lake Charles and Southwest Louisiana. Our 594 active and sustaining members come from varied backgrounds and experiences and collectively work together towards our vision of improving the community around us.

The JLLC is unique in that it pairs direct funding with thousands of volunteer hours to double our impact, resulting in an even greater outcome than money alone can provide. The JLLC has created a new individual giving program, The Live Oak Society, to allow sustainers, actives, and other civic-minded individuals to continue to support the critical programs JLLC serves. For example, a $1,000 donation can help fund a Branch Out and Grow Grant that supports innovative projects in the classroom; a $500 donation allows JLLC to provide fifteen (15) foster care bags; a $250 donation allows JLLC to provide fifty (50) snack bags to area elementary school students and a donation of $150 could fund a literacy family night at an area Headstart program. Simply put, the JLLC will combine every dollar donated with volunteer hours to truly make a difference.

Your support is crucial in helping us make lasting and impactful change in Southwest Louisiana. Gifts of any amount are greatly appreciated. Special recognition, including your name on a new 1933 Circle plaque hung at JLLC Headquarters, will be given to anyone who chooses to generously donate $1,933. Your tax-deductible donation may be paid any time before May 15. Donations towards the 1933 Circle made be made in four installments if desired.
